I'm a fan of Craven Faults, it's that kind of hypnotic ambient shapeshifting electronica like watching ripples on a river.

I get the feeling the same people are going to meet the same hard wall of reality sooner rather than later too - given the Deutsche Bank comment about Europe owning 8 trillion dollars of US bonds and equity: www.reuters.com/world/asia-p...

Oh yeah they are truly beyond the pale. Reminds me of the time a bunch of these fools bought a cruise ship to set up a ‘tech utopia’ . Unsurprisingly it didn’t go well www.theguardian.com/news/2021/se...
The disastrous voyage of Satoshi, the world’s first cryptocurrency cruise ship
The long read: Last year, three cryptocurrency enthusiasts bought a cruise ship. They named it the Satoshi, and dreamed of starting a floating libertarian utopia. It didn’t work out

Spoke to our local lichen expert who said Fulignosa is more common on the reserve but it is very hard to differentiate from Sylvatica and the latter is ‘more lobey’

Ha a total quad masher! I said to my consultant before the op well I wasn’t planning on ever running another marathon again anyway and he said ‘don’t say never, could be quite possible’. I feel like he’s set me a challenge now…

Sounds good, going from locked to having movement made such a difference to me, my body had forgotten what to do, still occasionally forget to bend it! It definitely frees up the walking too. I find crutches the single thing most likely to trip me up. Have kicked them countless times by accident.

Ooo that has a more modern design than mine! Take it, it went well today? I was allowed/trusted to set mine to 90 yesterday on my own. Hopefully I’m less than 2 weeks away from being allowed on a bike (albeit indoor), which you need 110 for. Won’t be allowed gears , inclines, or pressure if so…

That’s cool - do they play live much - and where?

I have 3 or 4 old synths and a bunch of pedals from my band days , now all the kids flying the nest I can tinker once again. (When they’re around I’m too self conscious)

Oh cool, that nice bit of jangle there too! I once did a comp of electronic stuff that I’d play in the car with Squarepusher, Aphex, Boards of Canada, Daft Punk plus older stuff like Yellow Magic Orchestra. Youngest loves BoC from there, he makes some ambient sounds/music for the games he builds.

Yeah don’t think my oldest has been to any on his own. Also have twins. The younger twin though he comes along with me to electronic stuff (saw Jane Weaver’s offshoot Fenella, which he loved). He’s definitely the biggest music fan, he loves any kind of retro electronic/computer games stuff.

He liked it but MES was being pretty weird, spent the first few songs off stage while singing and then came on and started messing with people’s amps and Eleni seemed pretty peeved. The encores were excellent though - Mr Pharmacist etc

I took my (then) 14 year old son (now 24) to see the Fall for his first ever gig in Falmouth (must have been one of the last they played!)

Thanks - Oh yes and also finally getting through the box set of Twin Peaks - The Final Season and the uber long woodlands dark and days bewitched: a history of folk horror doc on Netflix. Definitely getting stronger, 2 and a bit weeks until I shed the brace and crutches.

Trouble is, he’s not the only one in the party to think like that Glasman, Rutherford, Cruddas also do and they are the ones currently pulling the reigns….

Already been hit by a mini tornado in the last 12 months, hoping this one passes by more peaceably.
