I don’t think we need to live in the world that when the IRS tags you for getting you taxes wrong, you get to subpoena Biden to swear he really signed the IRS commisioner‘s appointment to ascertain if the schedule A revision was valid.

Trump is not predictable. so much wasted energy and time writing and reading things that attempt to make sense of him and make him predictable

It’s a good thing that your autocorrect thinks you type Doritos more frequently than despair

Ad model will be bad. Of course, subscription model would get bad too. Free models will eventually start giving answers that are wrong in ways that matter — or else no one will upgrade.

If you don’t buy the family plan, ChatGPT may tell your kids to self harm, bully others, put glue on pizza, etc.

Anything I can read on this? Tbh, the retail store seems like a tough place to find an exploitative surplus… the margins are so thin. Or is it about offering different products?

Maduro stole the election. And was caught stealing it to an unprecedented degree. I can think of some reasons why they aren't leading with that.

Oh, I remember now (over 20y ago), we would rinse out baby wipes with plain water for this purpose...

Oh, here’s a funny idea if you’re traveling w a partner (and a bit TMI). Great thing about being a divorced parent is being either 100 percent on duty or 100 percent off. If I were doing it now, I’d do shifts with a timer, 15 min on, 15 off (like headphones total relax) between me and partner.

it’s particularly crazy because they drafted off of (copied?) the Minecraft wave… it’s like saying ‘let’s go into the lucrative middle school market‘ and being surprised there are a lot of 12 year olds there…

Of course, but online is still useful. Lots of things a committed organizer can do, ask @youranona.bsky.social @eff.org.

I put up an America Has No King highway sign (w my 79-yo mom in March after the first crown image (before it was a thing). Explain how to do that anonymously. Very hard.

Feed them, make sure they get enough sleep. Do this for ten years, then go on the flight ;)

More seriously (and this is from very old memory), pack wet paper towels in ziploc bags for wiping off things that fall that are going to go back in the mouth…

We live in a regime where the government punishes free speech in increasing ways. The most liberal universities strive to protect their students from actual physical violence by staying under the radar instead of loudly resisting. In a world of AI cameras, online anonymity is important.
