The EU and Canada etc. still represent modern rationality: "the rule of law" and liberal statehood in an international order. The anarcho-fascists want to destroy all order and, like the gravediggers of the USSR, to amass as much wealth as possible for themselves in the course of its downfall.

It's about destroying any modern order. Here we need to move away from moralism and schematic thinking such as authoritarians-vs-liberals, which is hard for those who rightly detest Putin and his propaganda. It's telling that the Trump clique hates not only China but perhaps even more so the EU:

Although comparing Trump, Musk, Thiel & Co. with the Nazis and with earlier U.S. white supremacists is crucial, another comparison may also be illuminating: that with the oligarchic-authoritarian destruction of the USSR.

Perhaps we can understand the appalling spectacle as anarcho-fascist?
