Honestly, yesterday really tired me out in a journey of medical gaslighting that no one should experience. Worse than my SPS one. I was almost committed for an eating disorder I didn’t have and my GI saying I need intense psychiatric intervention when in reality it was stage 2 gastroparesis.

Yes it’s weird being both super bendy and having your shit get all dislocated thanks to a chronic illness like EDS while also your muscles turn to concrete and you have spasms so bad it’s like out of the exorcists sometimes (SPS). Like tetanus is a good example of a full body spasm.

At least I didn’t have to demonstrate SPS… He woulda had to call 911 lol…I laugh but it’s true. My mom got scared when I was laughing so hard about something yesterday that I had a diaphragm spasm and couldn’t breathe. Forgot about what though...

It's gratifying when someone thinks you’re 16 when you’re 30 when reddit trolls accuse you of being super face tuned, etc. Yeah, EDS causes dislocations, motility failure, MCAS, POTS, other bad things…but not my fault your butt’s gotta be all wrinkly and mine doesn’t :)

But my chronic illness ass is kinda….petty… I explained to him that while I have another disease that is terminal (Stiff-Person Syndrome), I have another disease called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and to gross him out I showed him bending my thumb to my wrist...
