Other than that, I will say the game was fun. The combos were a bit limited but all had their purposes.

Anyways, game good. way better than the previous.

I'd give the game like a 7/10

all too many times in stories, female characters usually play someone who is typically a 'nice' person or is playing a friendly supporting role to the main character.

She literally says that she kills people and sleeps with their husbands. pop off(?)

The NPCs you can team up with have the most horned up shameless dialogue I've ever heard. All with great voice acting, too.

On rare occasion, I can find the dialogue funny but it's mostly just...not.

I will say, it is refreshing to have a female protagonist not really give a fuck.

Now...the writing...bro who let this guy cook?
Was there a co-writer or something?

Okay, I understand this is both a hot-take and a cold-take to a lot of people, depending on how much they enjoy Taro's approach to videogames.

Zero is...likable...but that's really it for me.

After the heels of the previous Drakengard, this one feels like a nice breathe of fresh air. The movement and combat feel smooth and satisfying!

The music is serviceable, sometimes pretty cinematic with the vocal tracks that kick in.

The art style is fine but the characters seem a little clay-like

I also can't remember the last time a game made me choose between two philosophies where I don't really have an issue with either.

Grief can ruin people.
And grieving people can ruin others.

Expedition 33 will live on in my head for a very long time.

generative AI has no place in a games artwork, music, etc.
I really kept thinking about it the whole time and it bothered me.

But, that doesn't downplay any of the gameplay i experienced.

It's been a while since a game had me interacting with it's battle system as much as this one.

Overall, it was a solid experience. The battles always felt fun. The parrying felt rewarding. I will say, there was not a lot of incentive on dodging but it had it's uses for certain pictos.

What irks me is the clearly skilled dev team using AI placeholders in the development. the fuck?

What a fantastic piece of art. It's one of those games that remind you that gaming IS an art form. Everything from the acting, the music, the writing, the visuals, all were pretty rememberable.

I have plenty of thoughts about it, mostly good. Some small nitpicks
