9/9 There are over 800 billionaires in the US right now. Any one of them has the ability to effectively eliminate poverty and each one has made a conscious decision not to. There is no ethical or moral reason to be a billionaire when our country is in the desperate state it's in.

I'm no economist, but even I can think up a whole bunch of options that would be a massive windfall to the working class.
This thought experiment highlights another hard truth.

7/9 Fine builders for building only luxury properties during a housing crisis. Guarantee publicly funded child care support and a guarantee a minimum paid family leave. Ban private ownership of public utilities. Institute a wealth tax for people with a net worth over $1 billion.

6/9 Reinstate Glass-Steagall for good. Fully fund education, from daycare to post grad, including food, books, housing, & UBI during schooling. Ban corporations from owning residential real estate & limit private ownership to 10 units.

5/9 Fix the 14th Amendment to close the prisoner slave loophole. Ban private prisons. Mandate single payer healthcare. Bring back progressive tax rates (top marginal income tax rate exceeded 90%) and make them permanent. Close tax loopholes for the rich. Ensure labor and union protections.

4/9 that fixes all the broken laws that make wealth disparity unavoidable in our culture. I don't even mean passing laws. I mean passing amendments. Permanent changes to the Constitution that can't be chipped away at by future corruption.
