I had that! I really wish people knew about this in the early 1990s. It really sucked having teachers think I was too stupid and lazy to write legibly. They didn't understand that writing took way more effort for me. I always had to work harder than other students and that made it hard to keep up.

Maybe if they do it all the time like Bobby Cox, but an occasional fight with an umpire is appreciated by players. It's not the most important thing a manager can do, but it is definitely meaningful. A lot more meaning than pouring over analytics. The last couch proved that.

To you, maybe. To a team, it's meaningful have a manager be willing to occasionally go clean-the-fuck-off at an umpire on the team's behalf. Players like a manger who'll fight for them. It boosts moral and that goes a long way.

IMO team camaraderie might be more important than anything else you mentioned. If that's the case, they should stick with the guy. I'm going to have to see him get ejected a couple more times before I'm totally confident, though.

I'm not so sure about that. Seems likes he somewhere in the middle. I love a sack bunt as much as the next guy but the way he over relies on them annoys me to no end. I hope I'm wrong about him. I was wrong about Yost too. I just get the feeling this is as far as we're going to get with the guy.
