You may scoff, but before PacMan added AI-ghosts, thousand were employed to control them. My first job in high-school was as a weekend "ghost rider." I fondly remember my 12-hour shifts at the arcade, crammed into the game cabinet. Many older ghost riders never recovered after those 1st AI-layoffs.

Flipping the script: what if you treated this as a bug report? Shouldn't the site/web-app use JS/CSS/etc feature detection to warn users on old browsers? Netscape is an extreme outlier, but lots of people probably have an old devices lying around which can't run the latest web-apps.
