I'm making a clicker/idler(???) game prototype. You are a feudal lord. Collect taxes with clicking, invest in mines and convert forests into fields.

More work place = more peasant.

Then, build armies. Conquer your neighbors. Like Charlamagne. Like Caesar. Like Alexander.
