Sheer volume of high ceiling forwards they've drafted feels good (though of course nothing is certain). Maybe Nazar becomes that 2-way guy, as he's shown early flashes. Seems that Kantserov, Frondell et al are very much offense-first. A lot to be excited about & lots of promise, but just too early.

Been out and about all day or I would've replied sooner. I think you've (likely) got that franchise D in Levshunov; bit too early to make any call on Rinzel. The player Levshunov is now vs start of the season is totally different. He made an effortless little takeaway from an LA attacker last night.

Also could see Kaiser finding another gear and getting some more offense to his game. Vlasic seems fearless in getting deep pretty often, but he just doesn't seem to have "it"

I don't want to jinx things and say those are all a slam dunk, but I'd feel pretty confident that the Hawks will probably meet (if not exceed) those minimums. I can see Moore becoming a "good" Kurashev or a Mikheyev 2.0.

I just don't like shootouts because it the winner may as well be decided by a coin flip at that point.

They genuinely looked bad and lackadaisical for loooong stretches there. I wanted to throw my phone during those stretches where they were incapable of getting (and staying) out of their D-zone

My theory with Reichel is that, based on interviews and stories I've heard & read, is that he may just not be smart enough to put his skillset together to play effectively at the NHL level.

I feel like I have ego always preface that I'm a hockey dummy, but considering what he is, Laverty has largely looked decent when he's in? Maybe deserves to stick around as other get healthy? I can't do that roster math in my head.

Along those lines, there's a hair doc in New England that is the "official" Bruins hair doc - always has a Bruin posing with him (and often allegedly that B's hair doc). I think Grzleyck was actually one of them back when he was on the B's.
