"business school did" - I agree. And perhaps this world view by technocrats that if something is technically correct then it's correct for society, even if it completely ignores foundational aspects of society and its specificities and subjectivity.

the point I attempted to make (poorly!) was that typically those bootcamps are very much focused on specific toolsets whilst "traditional" computer science or engineering cover a larger spectrum of topics and in some countries even have humanities courses

I absolutely concur with you now that you gave me more thought on it. I didn't want to make a jab to people that did/does those bootcamps.

and it should be said that many nowadays coders/programmers just did bootcamps to learn how to code but lack proper education.. oh and on that front, gotta love where killing social studies/philosophy is leading us!
