In a world awash with filters, edits, and artificial enhancements, I choose a different path. My photography is grounded in truth — capturing people, places, and moments as they are, not as algorithms think they should be.

Frame within a frame, within a frame, within a frame… I had photographed this bridge previously, but was unhappy with the view angle across the bridge, so I returned today with the goal of improving the aesthetic of the image. Much happier with this effort.

Managed to get down to the Tauranga Diwali festival for a short while. I just love the colour, diversity and life of cultural events like this.

A great trip with some of the Lenslife team to photograph the Bay of Plenty Rally. A bit of a delay to the last stage, so the light was fading, but the rain stayed away and the team was in good spirits. Happy with the results.

Spent time today trying to capture birds in flight. Noticed one area which pigeons seemed to be using as a landing area. Positioned myself at the end of the runway and managed to catch this one on final approach.

Met up with some people from the Hastings Beginners Photo Quest to try Astro Photography, but the cloud conspired against us. Making the best of the poor conditions, a bit of trial and error, some lessons learned and a whole lot of laughter with a great group of people I now consider friends.
