I have no idea if this tulip variety naturally bends, or if it’s because they are growing under an overgrown hedge 🌱#bloomscrolling

Lived in Western WA my entire life and don’t recall a January as dry and sunny as this has been. Has made for some fabulous long winter walks, but doesn’t bode well for the snowpack in the mountains.

Thoroughly enjoyed this limited release perry (dosaged with a touch of quince) from Empyrical Cider. Each sip brought something new to the palate, with notes of pear skin, white flower, buckwheat honey, apricot, and lingering orange marmalade on the finish. Pleasant lingering astringency. Excellent.

I can’t even bring myself to tear out plants I don’t want that the previous owner planted. Left some roses on the curb that I hope survived, but new volunteers keep coming up in random places that I just let do their thing. Like this tiny rose. I am a terrible rose gardener though.

Just reorganized the cider cellar (long overdue), and wow do we need a lot of cider folks to come help us drink some of this stash. 😳
