i had this convo with my friend that was basically: “not all fiction needs to be happy and without trauma and pain”… and it gets annoying when everything is sanitised, because if not, it’s “trauma porn”. all this to say, i stand by ‘a little life’!!! it is horrific but GOD do i love the book
