People wish death on him every day on Twitter for perceived support of genocide. Many Israelis assume he supports them fully and wish he’d do so vocally. Speaking out either way is not safe. He didn’t ask for this. Just adding this perspective.

I feel he misstepped by saying people should be super educated on the conflict to comment on it. Because in all likelihood he does *not* have a full, neutral understanding of it. He should have said he didn’t feel people should see him as an authority on it, bc he’s not. (cont’d)

I’m antizionist and Jewish, but in his shoes, the online reaction to the little he’s said so far would not incentivize me to say more. It’s a fraught topic and if he says what he thinks, whatever that is, it will become a headline internationally. (Cont’d)

There is a reason that Deni is the one we’re speculating will get asked about it, though, no? And that one would take specifically him being silent on it to imply a stance, versus Steph Curry or Toumani? I don’t agree w the person quoted that it’s him being Jewish, but it’s him being Israeli.
