He advocated for the removal of women's rights. He said black women didn't have the "brain processing power" to compare with white people. He perpetuated the myth of election tampering in the US 2020 presidential election. He claimed George Floyd died as a result of a Fentanyl overdose. He stood firm in his beliefs that gun deaths of children were necessary for his rights to remain. He claimed that to be LGBTQ+ was to be indoctrinated, and members of that community were perverse and perverted. He called for violence against his political opponents, and celebrated acts of violence against his opponents, calling perpetrators heroes and patriots. He didn't believe in empathy. He was a proponent and believer of Great Replacement Theory. ... And that's just what I can rattle off in a short period. He was a bitter, horrible person that preyed on vulnerabilities and biases of youth. He was instrumental in the destabilisation of the US democracy and what it means to engage in civil discourse. I don't recall seeing anywhere near this amount of attention or consideration for any of the recent politically motivated attacks against non-conservatives, nor did I see anything on any of the other university shootings (at least one of which were deliberately targeting places of discourse and people engaging in student government) recently. I sympathise greatly for his widow and young children, and I hope they are able to grow up in a world more embracing, loving, and kind than he ever envisioned. Nothing justifies killing him and nothing justifies gun violence, but he does not deserve social sanitisation postmortem, and he does not deserve celebration.
