That was when the music died in corporate radio. I was on the Dawn Patrol at the time and corporate got so scared of its own shadow we couldn't do anything edgy anymore.

As someone who grew up watching Cronkite and Rather and then went on to a career in radio news (being part of a team that won a Murrow award) it's awful to see what is happening at CBS. But legacy media is dying. Good riddance CBS.
