This video was taken at the site of the former Burgundy Basin Inn in Bushnell's Basin, a suburb of Rochester, New York. A proposal to build townhouses and apartments on the site was recently rejected.

You are right. But it's 2025. Talking about it as if it will happen is how politics works. It also forces right wing media to talk about it and if there is enough Dem proposed legislation, Trump and Elon have to respond to the Dems rather than vice versa
Given that the Republicans have leadership & a majority in both chambers, such legislation proposals would just be symbolic efforts that won't even make it out of committee.
