Unfortunately, this is not new. US has long ignored ICC in regards to themselves and Israel. Trump is just being louder about it.

so far, people are getting refunds. If you can file electronically, I recommend doing so. I don't believe humans look at electronically filed returns, unless the algorithms pick up some anomalies.

It might depend on whether you file electronically or on paper. Paper definitely takes longer as it needs eyes on. I typically file electronically. I believe they use algorithms for those, verifying that everything reported to them is included and nothing looks inflated or deflated.

Unfortunately, I failed to do this. I might need to switch my bank information later. Which is going to be a mess.

I filed Tuesday. Just checked and my refund is approved (I overpaid an estimate for a one time event). It says it will be deposited next Tuesday. I would recommend acting sooner rather than later.

I filed this Tuesday. Just checked and my refund is approved and should hit my account next Tuesday. If you have your documentation ready, it might be a good idea to file now. They are focusing on "political" targets for now, but might eventually look lower.

I don't know if it was crypto, but I have been getting bogus transactions for quite a while now, some claiming to be paypal. And they are all around $750/$800.
