This past weekend, Jonathan and I got married!! It was an absolutely perfect day in a wonderful weekend full of people we love.
Here’s the art I made for our Save the Date and the signature cocktails from our program. The mocktail, of course, is named after our sweet little fluffy son, Opal.

“sometimes i sleepwalk” - a mini series I made about my sleepwalking misadventures.
“Knives” occurred in September 2015
A watercolor autobiographical comic. A grayscale page of two people, a young woman (me) and a bearded man (my then-boyfriend, now-husband) in bed. POV of the man opening his eyes to see the woman saying something impossible to understand. The next panel, she’s still mumbling but adds “the knives are in the drawer” The man sits up quickly “Paigey? You okay?” The woman mumbles and repeats “the knives are in that drawer over there…” Man: “what?! Why?” Woman: “in case you need them.” A watercolor autobiographical comic. A grayscale page of two people, a young woman (me) and a bearded man (my then-boyfriend, now-husband) in bed. The man, confused, replies “do I need them?” The woman, contentedly, closes her eyes and replies “just in case” She lays back down to fall asleep as the man looks at her with confused bemusement. Man: “you got it” Woman: “okay…good…” she’s back asleep In the final panel, the scene is full color as the two are talking during the day while the woman is packing and the man is sitting on the couch. Woman: “I did that?” Man: “yeah! Do you keep knives there?” Woman: “No!”

A watercolor autobiographical comic. A young brunette woman (me) is sitting up in bed, her boyfriend is fast asleep next to her. The bed is covered in kittens, much to the woman’s delight. In the next panel, the kittens are leaping one-by-one into the crack between the bed and the wall. In the last panel, only a couple of kittens are left and the woman is rushing after them. The scene is gradually becoming more grayscale. A watercolor autobiographical comic. A young brunette woman (me) is sitting up in bed, her boyfriend is fast asleep next to her. The scene is gradually becoming more grayscale. As the kittens jump into the crack between the bed and the wall, the woman is becoming upset. “Where’re you kitties going?” “OH NO!!” She leaps across her sleeping boyfriend, waking him up, after the last kitten. “KITTIES! You’ll be squished!! Noooo!” The boyfriend wakes up and calms down the woman “Paigey! What’s wrong?!” She replies “The kitties!!” A watercolor autobiographical comics the scene is now completely grayscale. The woman and man are now both sitting up in bed. The woman sadly asks “Kitties?” “Where’d the kitties go?” She looks at him while he consoles her “Are they ok?” And he replies in confusion “Uhh…yes?” She lies back down saying “Oh. Good…” she’s smiling “Good…” He looks over at her, now fast asleep, and agrees, “Good.”
