I’d knit an entire skein of yarn in a fairly complicated multi-cable pattern and I just ripped it all out. My gauge was off. I’d made too many mistakes. And I think I’ll be half a skein short.

34 years ago, I sat at a table in a campus building at OSU and helped appliqué fabric letters onto a quilt square. The letters spelled out the name of someone who died from AIDS the year before. I had thought we made it through the period of fear and hatred. I was wrong.

Driving back to Chicago from Ohio. Roads were clear and quick until we got north of Indianapolis. Glad we left earlier than normal.

For [redacted] reasons I’m trying to get better at recognizing the types of cars I see. For a gal with 0 interest in cars, this is a challenge.

Hoan Hyunh came up to Andrew and I on Saturday while we stood in uptown with signs pressing ICE to ask if we were okay after being flipped off by a jerk driving by. Today ICE tried to bust out his car window with a gun.
Jesus. My state rep getting held at gunpoint by CBP. They even knew who he was.

30-40 minutes after using my allergy eye drops, I get a horrid metallic taste. It’s awful and it ruins the taste of my tea. But I’m not bleary and itchy.
