Ive met a lot of women that started out in neopets, Petz, Second Life, Sims (hacking/mods), flash games/action script and a few other spaces that are largely disregarded as "not serious"
they were really vital communities for learning and every time those platforms die, a generation is denied tools

We are fortunate to have such meaningful interactions with others beyond the vastness of the seemingly disjointed echo chambers in the community and the web at large.
