The fact that dems aren't doing anything means they're in favor of the results. They've been "letting the GOP hang themselves" for a year, with no apparent plan to change that.
Letting the country burn to reap political power later is no different than doing so for financial gain like Trump.

1) Public opinion matters, if the ability to vote stays intact. Between gerrymandering, intimidation, MAGA in local certification offices, closure of voting stations, and maybe martial law, I've got no confidence.
2) Asking Americans to stay interested in anything that's 1-3 years away seems doomed.
