"Perhaps the biggest risk isn’t the market itself, but human behavior: watching your investments drop 20% or 30% can be frightening, and many people panic and sell at a loss"

Common advice says to invest heavily in stocks when you're young, but without planning for future expenses first, that can be the seed for losses and frustration later on.

I just published a new post on the saveabit blog. It’s the article I wish I had read 10 years ago, when I had very little money in the bank and thought the first thing to do was invest in stocks. I hope it helps. saveabit.app/blog/posts/f...

My blog has been dormant for a while, but I just published a new post on my recent experience building a landing page with Tailwind.

The main point is to focus on content rather than tech: cippaciong.it/pragmatic-la...

All my best ideas happen in the shower. Now I'm torn between wasting water and just standing in there fully clothed every now and then.

Here's why I think that many personal finance apps are not good for most people.

Most finance apps show numbers. The better ones should teach you what to do next.

Today I sticked to theory and in a couple of hours I had the blog post. What were the odds?

bsky.app/profile/cipp...
How to write a blog.

Theory:
✅ 90% → actual content
✅ 10% → theme/design

Practice:
❌ 2% → draft title, get distracted
❌ 47% → write a new theme from scratch
❌ 38% → debate button radius
❌ 11% → custom hover animations
❌ 2% → realize I have no content

*repeat*

A relaxing weekend can charge you up more than any amount of coffee ever could. Rest is the real productivity hack.

As someone who’s not on Cursor , I’ve gotta say that the new Claude Code VSCode extension nails the balance for me. Helpful, but not annoyingly in-your-face every time you type a letter.

Here's what worked for me with saveabit's landing:

* Keep the tech stack boring (HTML + Tailwind CDN).
* Focus on your content and message first.
* Once you're happy, generate the CSS locally and ship it.

Don't let tools distract you from what matters.

Let’s say someone has no idea how to start promoting their project. What are the best resources available for indie hackers? Asking for a friend, of course.

🚀 Finally putting this out there: the landing page is live.

I said I was done changing the title of the landing page, but I guess I was wrong ¯\_ (ツ) _/¯ .
Tomorrow it'll go public anyway, before I change it again...

Saw @dhh opening keynote for Ruby World 2025 today. I can't agree more on how much time we waste on technology, rather than focus on the problems our software is supposed to solve in the first place. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcwz...

Spent a couple more hours refining saveabit’s landing today. I must be on headline attempt #27 and I'm still not 100% happy with it, but it’s nice to see the progress. The hardest part is grabbing attention without sounding like a get-rich-quick scheme
