If you’re okay with not having the full build it yourself experience, I recommend Keychron’s keyboards. I replaced my GMMK Pro with a Keychron Q1 Max which is a much more reasonable price point (~$200) for a comparable product (in my eyes).

If the ways people do things become entangled with generative AI, it gives the corporations who control these systems discretion over what people can and can’t do.

I think the idea is that AI companies are trying to make us dependent on this technology that we truthfully don’t really need. Yes, you have a calculator in your pocket at all times, but it’s still incredibly useful to know basic times tables and arithmetic when navigating the world.
