I'll never understand why there aren't more local, state & even federal petitions to create measures to restrict / kill the onslaught of foreign investment companies buying up swaths of land. China owns 384,000 acres of U.S. agricultural land and has purchased land near quite a few military bases.

I keep seeing elected officials of some sort refusing to step down.
Where is the oversight / corruption above these individuals? Specifically, I'm wondering how officials who get caught in scandal or generally become hated by the community they "serve" can just shrug off the people's demands.

I work for 2 gov agencies; USN Reserves and the FAA. I'm 100% crapping myself daily but also I am also silently interested to see how all the trumpets I work at both jobs will react when I see things like, "Pushing all feds to go back to a Mon-Fri workweek with absolutely no telework options." 😂🤣
