Just remember, this is a Republic and those who fought / died for freedom here and (WWII) overwhelming lived outside of major cities. Freedom is never ever free. Also, growing food for consumption in cities is typically valued as well.

Actually no… if five more democrats would approve the bill ( that they have approved repeatedly in the past), the government would reopen. Schumer is afraid of AOC eclipsing him in polling, thus he must let this drag on a bit more.
