Thx for this post! As long as we have free speech, their efforts to erase our history will be unsuccessful. They can purge electronic files, take displays out of our museums and books off our library shelves. But they can’t stop us from passing oral history to our kids and grandkids.

Kudos to MI Gov Whitmer! Just yesterday, I heard w/ horror that young adults in my NE city cannot succeed in jobs like medical/dental assistants because THEY CAN'T READ well enough to make appointments correctly! We failed those needing remedial reading when we got back from the pandemic.

NOT the status quo when they came into office, but a lightening-speed revision of U.S. progress in the last 100 years.

At times like this, I really miss Jimmy Carter.

The same psychology was used in the 1940's & '50's on my mother's generation of women. The current GOP is using this "soft" approach to address their fear of losing the U.S. white majority population. They are too late, & desperate. Their fallback plan is making the U.S. look like Gilead. BE AWARE!
