Democrats are complicit in our current state of affairs. A truly democratic process would not give political parties preferential ballot access or have party based rules of congressional leadership and committee membership.

Political parties are anti-democratic the way they work here. Both parties are primarily concerned with consolidating their own power, not making citizens' lives better.
