This was a wonderful, brave, and thoughtful series.

There was a period where, every Friday night, like going to church-SCTV.

I've always wondered how it is that I can wake with a piece of music I literally haven't consciously thought of in decades playing in its entirety non stop over and over. Where was it for that whole time?

Watching The Walk for Peace is a daily moment of profound beauty for me.

People often refer to this as a proto-Joker but I think it more than stands on its own as a movie, and more particularly,as a performance, worthy of much admiration. He is truly heartbreaking.

God, to have seen that in 1931. It's such a moment of genius to have him back into the shot. And that's just Soul Acting from Karloff.

It's a constant amazement to me that I tell myself these elaborate stories about reality and then I believe them.

Well, this one's hard for me to comment on coherently. I'm a complete and total Brando freak and it's one his very best performances, imo. But then there's Eva Marie Saint, and there's Lee J. Cobb with his big hands all over everyone, Malden bringing Jesus to the docks. The palpable cold. Perfect.

For some reason I held off seeing this until a few months ago. It knocked me out. The music, those painfully good character actors, the non-flashiness of every aspect of things. Like a perfect bagel.

Sim is my favorite but I've not seen this one yet. My daughter recommended it to me this year and has great taste so, if I'm alive next Christmas, I'm watching the Muppets and Michael Caine.

I've always felt that Walter was just waiting for a good reason to go bad and that Phyllis was just waiting for someone to do her dirty work. They were made for each other. Also, Robinson is brilliant.

I just watched this for the first time about a week ago. It's so good. I had absolutely the wrong idea about it all these years. It had a much subtler touch and way better acting than I was expecting, especially by Dyan Cannon. Terrific movie.
