Erica from our Social Policy team joined colleagues from Glasgow Disability Living Alliance and @mariecurieuk.bsky.social to discuss solutions to the harms being experienced by sick and disabled people and what needs to change to prevent them to challenge poverty. #ChallengePoverty #WeDemandBetter

The CAB network prides itself on being active in every community in Scotland. We know the challenges that face people in rural communities can be overlooked. Energy costs are disproportionately higher, and many face isolation, digital exclusion, and inadequate transport infrastructure. CABs in remote and rural communities provide advice that changes lives.

The Minimum Income Guarantee can provide the sure foundation that we all need by ensuring a level of income that will allow all of us to live a dignified life. A roadmap has been created on the steps we need to take get there, now we need our politicians to commit to delivering these.
