The on-street air-quality is deteriorating too due to the increasing numbers of cars and individual car-trips. Private cars are a pox on society in so many ways.

It's the same all across the country. It's absolutely awful. Kids have no freedom to roam anymore & parents are now tied to their kids for driving duties. This will have profound long-lasting social consequences.

Cars are a pox on society.

Just for info: They've started works on the cycle-route along the Dodder at Fitzwilliams Quay.

They're digging up all the grass beside the green space. I wasn't expecting that.

I hope they find the driver and either ban him from driving or send him to jail. Or both.

Putting him in public stocks for a day with plenty of rotten fruit for parrersby to use would also be good.

We don't have crosswalk as a legal or colloquial term. I've heard the term crosswalk from US TV & movies, but I didn't know the legal terms of use.

We don't have crosswalk as a legal term. We have different types of pedestrian crossings, and in some you're only allowed to cross when the light is green. Hence why I was asking for this case. 👍

(Btw, whether or not they are allowed to cross, imo the driver still can't just mow someone down).

A huge red flag for me (I know there are lots of others) is that he doesn't appear to have any interest whatsoever in animals.

I've never met someone in real-life that doesn't have some interest in some type of animal. He's just weird as fuk.
