The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory through 12 p.m. Feb. 22. City of Batavia has established a Temporary Warming Center at the Batavia Police Department, 100 N. Island Ave. Check in at the Police Department front desk upon arrival.

A temporary power generator will be installed at the Batavia Wastewater Treatment Plant, 400 S. Shumway Ave., on Saturday, Feb. 15 due to an electrical issue. You may hear increased noise, but there is no threat to the community. The generator will run until repairs are complete.

Due to the forecasted snow starting Wednesday afternoon, our crews will begin routes one hour earlier than usual. To ensure pickup, please have your trash & recycling at the curb by Tuesday evening, Feb. 11. For safety reasons, we cannot send trucks back for missed pickups. Questions: 630-892-9294
