Storm Update, 12/27/25, 10pm.: The MSC will be open on Sun., 12/28, from 8 to 5, and will expand as a community resilience center offering Monterey residents still without power (mostly covering Skyline & Monterey Vista) a place to charge phones, shower, & stay warm. Bring ID.

The city will be restricting access to the east side of Wharf 1, Fisherman's Wharf, until we can have a structural engineer assess the structure and necessary repairs due to potential damage from the high winds last night.

Our Parks Leadworker, Balta, fixed a nutcracker soldier the City had in storage, and the animated character will debut this evening (12/5) at the Traditional Tree Lighting event that starts at 5pm on Colton Hall lawn. We hope to see you there!

Power Outage Alert Update 1, 10am, 9/25/25: From PG&E: "PG&E is experiencing an outage impacting 3,442 customers in Monterey & 353 customers in PG. The outage was reported at 9:17 am & crews are en route to ...make repairs...." PG&E is still determining the cause of the outage.
