Works of fiction are exactly that; works of fiction. If someone wears a uniform as part of a stage play or film, only an idiot would take that as their personal endorsement of the uniform / what it represents.

Agreeing with a critique is not being in agreement with the actions of those who share it. Especially when it's disproportionately escalating things.

The military outfit aesthetic has always bothered me. I said before that I bit my tongue on saying anything at first because I didn't want to yuck anyone's yum. When the matter hit Discord, I decided to speak my mind on it. I don't even have access to Twitter to see the dingdongs.

I have problems with him, as much as I otherwise praise some of the work he does. And my problems are usually centered on matters like this, when politics and vtuber scene stuff directly melds into being the same discussion. He shuts down discussion in... not great ways that have implications.

Plus part of the reason why I call out his community is because the nature of his Discord allows for discussion of serious manners in ways that other vtubers usually don't.

But the downside is, sometimes you see the moral depravity of some people in the vtuber fandom and it's scary.

I'm in there and can and will remark publicly on the way his community behaves. As I would anyone else if they were behaving shitty.

It's not all of his community, but most of the ones who were of my view on this yesterday aren't around at the moment. It's no less alarming.
