I got to revisit and update a mural I painted 5 years ago. I love the changes!

I painted 2 murals at a yoga studio 5 years ago. They recently repainted one of the rooms from yellow to black but want to keep my art so I'm re-vamping and refreshing the design to tie it together. It's really fun coming back to it with fresh eyes and ideas!

I'm practicing with henna today, had a thought.
When participating in civil protest, it's often advised to put important phone numbers on your skin in case you lose access to your phone. Henna would be a great option for that since it won't wash off for a few days at least.

Every so often I gift my art. Prints or originals, usually 5x7 mandalas for birthdays. Three times this week I saw them displayed within my friend's homes. There's something so cozy about seeing my art take up space. I get to be present in their everyday lives when I'm not there. Art IS connection.

Told my bff that i want to try doing art full-time, her response was "i thought it would take you til March to figure it out, you're ahead of schedule!" 😂 I love how she knows me better than I know myself sometimes. And I love her belief that I can actually Do The Thing, too. ❤️ Support is beautiful.
