Not long ago, I came across HFY stories littering the YouTubes. Interesting AI implementation if fraught with editorial missteps. Yesterday, I dabbled with trying to partner with AI/LLM to explore the process. Interesting. Got a story out of it (that I have to seriously edit). Something to explore.

Been working on migrating to another web host. Should have started sooner, I think. Starting to look like I'm not going to be ahead of my renewal deadline. Might have to stick around for another year so I don't have to rush. But still not set in stone. We'll see....

I think some of the most vexing works are the ones you started and really want to finish, but somehow never do. This one has been languishing for almost 17 years now. (Cropped photo of screen as I don't want to dig the original out of the archives.)

It's kind of hilarious that even though I was a sports photographer through most of the 80s, these social media places that feed on pics give me anxiety as I never acquired the habit of recreational photography (in my formative years, it was just too expensive).

Working on sequels to *Android Me*. Still feel at a loss from that HD crash a few years ago that lost all of my notes and outlines for the two books to follow. Backup your data, folks. It's no guarantee (wasn't for me) but at least it gives you a chance to recover.

Sometimes you just doodle. Sometimes the doodle is good. Sometimes the doodle is otherwise. ("A doodle. I do doodle. You, too. You do doodle, too!" Willow Rosenberg/Jane Espenson, BtVS S3E11 "Gingerbread")

Giving a lot of thought about changing my web hosting. I've been doing all/most of the backend stuff for over 30 years (since back when HTML was just HTML--no version number). I'm old, now. Kind of wanting to not work so much on it any more. ...and not be too expensive. Stay tuned....

Perhaps the hardest thing about being an artist in times like these is to be an artist in times like these. It can also be really fun.
