I've also realised my maths was shocking in the first reply I used 20% of the whole lot not just 2k to reach the £3200 figure (this is why I've married an accountant)

Sorry if I appear to be thick here but are you saying that if you eatn £12571 you pay tax on everything. Because you don't you only pay it on the £1

Nobody pays tax on the 12k just like nobody would pay tax on 14k if it was raised to that (including the people earning 200k). you only pay tax on earnings above it. If they get a rise that makes them earn 14k they will still be £3200 better off.

It used to be administered by Local Governemnt and called the Youth Service. They had youth groups and everything. Then the tories gave all the cash to their mates tucked everything up and changed thier rossete colour to Turquoise and got themselves re elected.

We've recieved a hand delivered card every christmas for 11 years now, (never seen it delivered) its addressed to "Sonia and Roger" last year it was just addressed to "Roger" and had the note "you are in our thoughts" it felt like we'd lost a family member ourselves

Trust me, they know and they are moving in their droves. Its why my first house on the cheaper side of town is now on the market just 8 years after we sold it for 100k more.

Yet most solicitors wont touch an unfair dismissal case because the settlement is usually too small for them (loss of earnings until the decision). Trade Unions fight daily for employee rights and thats why they are pilloried by the media and made pit to be corrupt anti worker malcontents.
