I once was called to the delivery room by the doctor who had delivered a “child” that could not be identified as human. Terrible deformity! (I was in the ICU myself for a heart rhythm problem.) I baptized it and it was transferred to a hospital in Chicago where it “lived” for 6 months. So hard!

Ha! Your picture tells me you are youngish and I thought, “How awful!” Then I remembered my pain began in my mid-twenties. I truly hope that your treatment plan is effective and that you can still be active!

Well, then, we’re birds of a feather. I’m from L1-S1 and my darn SI joints have given up. This next surgery is from C4-T5, posterior access. The anterior access (ACDF) of my C4-C6 didn’t resolve my problem. Hardest part for me on that one was not being able to swallow for a couple of weeks.
