Right. My point is, I think sometimes wires get crossed. Or perhaps deposits roll into accounts that families may not have even been aware of or had closed yet. I don’t really know other circumstances, just my own.

And yes, this occurred after the funeral director submitted the req’d forms. I think it was just a timing thing more than anything. Crossed paths at the same time.

It happens. My parents passed away 11 days apart April 2022. SS disbursed their payments after death. Simple fix. Called the SS Dept & bank, explained the error, & the payments were rescinded the following month. That required leaving the accounts open long enough for the transaction 2 occur tho.

Agreed. I tell my kids, when a task seems monumental, remember that it’s just like eating an apple- one bite at a time.

Exactly what I was thinking… all things being equal, this is the better of the two. At minimum, he might have a higher attention span and perhaps push back.

It is the single reason I will not buy a condo in the Keys as much as I am able to. Insurance for a 900 sq ft condo is between 600-1500 PER MONTH. It’s absurd. Anyone with any financial sense says no way, not doin it.

Hmmm… perhaps. Or, maybe they’ve just quietly hustled, worked their guts out, and haven’t asked for much in return during their tenure? You know, a local hardworking solider kinda employee. I can understand the disappointment but to assert they are unserious may be a little presumptuous…

As you should. I’ve explained to mine that both things can be true: the class is hard/they’re struggling AND they are learning to learn. It’s a forever skill. Then, I just tell them to suck it up and quit wasting time complaining about it when they could be studying about it. 😂 I am that parent.

I’m old school. There was nothing worse than a paper coming back smeared in red ink with ? marks, comma’s, and perhaps even an ask to rewrite. It forced me to reflect and say- Yep, that was not my best work.
