See now I'm a bit like Omar, I disqualify mocks with trades. I do like several of those players tho.

I try and post on both but there are some annoying incompatibilities with respect to post size so when I'm doing something longer-form it usually ends up on X and if I want to double-post it here, it takes a lot of time to work it down into bite-sized posts for a full thread.

There's a difference between taking one major injury versus being a guy who is injured every year.

No. Not with his injury history. Not at this price. You either want to be able to field a team in January or you want to be able to field a team in March. They're not the same thing.

He's not an OL but yeah he does. I'd take on injury risk in the form of James Daniels and Dre Greenlaw.

I'd also take on Will Fries but I was told his market was going to be hot. If it's not, I'd be in.

Excellent opportunity for him and yeah, no way would I be anywhere close to that price.

I was told his market was going to be hot, so I cooled on him. If that's not true after all, then I am absolutely in on him and have been for months.

The only injury case I'd be looking to take on personally would be James Daniels. I don't know where he's at in terms of his Achilles recovery and it could very well be he's not even ready to sign anywhere. But he's a true swing for the fences, particularly in Miami's system.

Or you could go the age route. What about aged veterans like Brandon Scherff and Kevin Zeitler? The hot market doesn't necessarily apply to guys 32+ years of age and contract values can drop precipitously when a player is showing a certain date of birth. Could Miami take advantage of this?

I've talked about Matt Pryor some. He's less interesting to me as a Guard, where teams have played him more often than not. I think he could be an inexpensive tackle option for Miami.

And what of Trystan Colon who was a Center all thru college but has shown some ability to play Guard?

Center Coleman Shelton was let go by the Bears, upgrading to Drew Dalman. Shelton played in the Rams system, similar to Miami's. Could he play RG?

What about Andre James, let go by the Raiders? He's spent his entire career at Center but he was a LT/RT at UCLA. Could he be moved to Guard?

What I think you have to be wary about are two other strategies employed by teams to try and get under-valued players...and those are taking advantage of prices that are temporarily depressed by injuries and/or character problems. Unfortunately Miami has done some of that and it's not worked out.
