Outdoor adventuring with the added bonus of a spinal cord injury (L1 incomplete, cauda equina). Getting after it while gimpy.
"XXXX says what they think."

Who cares?

Along with a few gems, a pile of garbage fills my head every day.

Our thoughts certainly don't represent the best of us. They don't even represent us, period.
They are uncontrollable whispers that offer just as many lies as truths.

We can choose.

Did you know that you should end your alt text with a period?

"End alt text with a period, even if it isn’t a full sentence. The period ensures that the screen reader pauses after reading the alt text."

This was a new tip for me. Glad to learn something new!

My insurance covers new orthotics once EVERY FIVE YEARS. The first pair I received wasn't ideal, so I've spent out of pocket twice more.

Stuff like this boils my blood. What, praytell, qualifies as a medical necessity? My friends with prosthetics depend upon them to lead full lives.
US health insurers limit coverage of prosthetic limbs, with some patients facing repossessions www.cbsnews.com/news/health-...

I'll share these brilliant orthotics with a new crowd, just in case it sparks similar solutions. These leg braces attach to a foot plate in the climbing shoe but connect outside via a slit in the back. The shop that did them can't mass produce, but I can share the idea. #AdaptiveSports #Climbing

Drytooling: Why just climb when you can climb with sharp stuff?

Lead climbing, and taking lead falls, is a big deal for me. A lead climbing gym accident back in 2018 resulted in a lower-level spinal cord injury. I now wear leg braces to climb.

Leading again comes with some anxiety, but I'm grateful to still do the things I love . #Climbing #AdaptiveClimbing
