I'm in the field and I love both it and gay porn! I just see a LOT of people come into it not understanding it's not a field where you're guaranteed employment after a Bachelor's. Have fun, but don't see it as "giving up", see it as picking a new mountain to climb!

just a forewarning (i'm sure you've heard): environmental/conservation jobs are incredibly competitive, seasonal, physically demanding, "boring lab work" -- or somehow all of the above at the same time, and often require a master's at least. it's similar to art re: networking, unpaid work, etc.

not to be that guy but i hated him from the beginning, so much of his brand was giving fujoshis his Official Cis Gay permission to like yaoi, which was and will always be bullshit. im glad that because of him people realized that anyone saying "cis straight women" in THAT tone is a red flag.

crazy lore: i thought i had eyestrain but ds3 was just spiking my bp. the problem wasn't entirely the screens, it was being hypertensive and sweaty about a fuckass soulslike + life stress. just saying, be sure to eliminate stupid shit like that before spending a bunch of money.

biologist here, humans are omnivores and eat whatever is around, it's our whole thing. big animals? hell yeah. delicious fruits? absolutely. leaves and tubers? you bet. random bug thing from the sea? gimme that. the answer for "what did prehistoric people eat?" just depends on where they were.
