Does anyone else just hate the new XRAY on Prime Video? You used to be able to walk through a bunch of images on the actors in the current scene and now, NO Images at all. Apprarently, the images used to come from IMDB's database, which Amazon owns by the way. But now all images are gone.

Can anybody help me with this: The Brennan Center is the topic here. If they oppose things like excessive executive power, they must have their hands really full with the current admistration. Is that a fair assessment or am I off base here? Looking for opinions here...

Somebody please wake me up from this nightmare where I'm living in a 3rd world country! The couple shot/wounded by border patrol agents in Portland, OR they said had gang links. So, no innocent until proven guilty, no due process or trial, we're just shooting people on the streets on site?

The administration tries to block child care and social services funds from five Democratic leaning states. While their explanation is for fraud, does anybody believe that explanation or that these states are more fraudulant than any red leaning states? I don't! Is it just more punitive politics?

MAGA influencers Jack Posobiec and Steve Bannon calling for murder charges for the wife of Renee Good. Can anyone with any kind of clear mind not see how this is manufactured storytelling to inflame their audience and cover up a real human tragedy. Does anybody on Earth believe this vitriol???

What say you folks, can we hear it for Tony Dokoupil for his show of authenticity in his first week in a new position, even in spite of leadership above him has changed course with now being MAGA-friendly. Tony is authentic, polished asset to an authentic platform, which he now does not have.

Calls for a ‘full investigation,’ into the ICE shooting of Renee Good, but by who. You can’t hand it to the FBI when they are corrupt, and you can’t hand it to DHS, they’re already shaping the narrative. If every referee is wearing a team jersey, what does accountability even look like? Tell me!

Retired general, Former Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army that informally adives DT several times a week says Trump wasn’t actually going to invade Greenland; it was just intimidation tactics for Denmark. My response, Well thank goodness he was actually going to invade Greenland
January 9, 2026 at 1:24 AM
Even Pence is saying out loud what everyone else has been feeling: the public is exhausted. Between the unilateral Maduro raid, the missed Epstein-file deadline, and whatever materializes over the whole Greenland mess, the chaos is no longer background noise — it’s the whole soundtrack.

The FBI is investigating what happen in the shooting of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis by ICE agents? HAHAHAHAHA! Seriously, isn't that a little like letting the wolf den investigate what happened within the Lion's den? We can no longer trust the DT ruled FBI. He's running it, they'll do his will.

When making decisions in either a personal or public policy line of sight, this one question could be the guideposts that help everyone.
The Expansion Check:
Personal, Does this make me feel smaller, tighter, contracted or more open, lighter.
Or:
Does it expand for honesty, dignity and agency

Wouldn’t it be something —
a return to clear lenses,
where truth isn’t a prop,
and governance isn’t a stage play,
but a public trust.
A politics that remembers
it was built for people,
not for an actor’s puny, punitive expressions,
not for the theatrics of grievance,
balance the system for people.

Estimate → analyze → re‑analyze → re‑engage → re‑estimate → follow the new conclusions.
That’s literally the definition of evidence‑based practice and science. See, they admitted their 2024 predictions about climate were a little off, re-analyzed, re-published, admitted their mistake.

Functioning democracy needs leaders who are stable, lawful, and grounded, and that when someone repeatedly behaves outside those norms, the system should have mechanisms to intervene — not shrug.
Hence, why my thoughts of institutionalizing him seems fitting

The House looks likely to restore ACA subsidies.

The Senate is positioned to block that restoration again, despite the subsidies having broad public impact and having lapsed at the end of last year.

The Senate already rejected this proposal in December and is likely to do so again. They should pay

U.S. strikes Venesuala! Is that basically the equivalent of the school yard bully beating up the smallest kid on the playground?

Kenedy Center may you hear this. I do not believe you can go forward with that name in your title. Removing it will leave scars but remember that scars are the beginning of returning to your roots. An artist center has to be a place of transcendence, not a place of political unrest and chaos.

Won't it be grand my dear friends/followers when the kerffule of the current, dominate and outsized personality fade so we can focus on important things rather than, you know, kerffule

GOP Senator calls Mamdani the enemy. Every time someone reaches for “enemy” language, it’s never a new moment — it’s the same old script dragged back onstage, another rerun pretending to be breaking news. Exhaustion isn’t the reaction anymore; it’s the setting. We’re living in the “again” of it all.
January 2, 2026 at 1:45 AM
And next up, speaking of the 2028 GOP nomination, perhaps we can remember, The Oval Office isn’t a ceremonial seat — it’s a pressure chamber that exposes every crack. Starting from a place of exhaustion isn’t just a bad omen; it’s a warning about what the country might be asked to carry. Tired-broke
January 2, 2026 at 1:19 AM
When the person in the Oval Office is supposed to be an adaptive force for 330 million people, rolling with the punches and rising to the moment, we get the same tired playbook dusted off like it’s still fresh. No evolution, recalibration, sense that the country has moved on while the script hasn’t.

Is it actually legal for this current administration to order a coal fired power plant to stay open beyond it's intended closing date? And, if it is, isn't it artificially keeping a technology around beyond its useful purpose? Can we get a huge pushback on this lame and visioin lacking action?

MAGA up in arms about Jack Smith's testimony saying "fraud is not a protected free speach."
at the same time they are pointing to tRump's fraudulant claims about the 2020 election. So, if Jack Smith should be prosecuted, should also not tRump. Fair question right?
January 1, 2026 at 3:18 AM
The news cycle. Come on people, stop the "Breaking News" thing like; tRump caught lying and please add one tiny little tidbit, "Again" It's more like:
It's Wednesday, "again"
Science finds water is still wet, "again"
tRump caught lying, "again'
Sheesh, changes it to reality, doesn't it?

Some days the noise feels endless. But every now and then, someone inside the party steps up and says the quiet part out loud: truth still matters.

It's meaningful when someone says “Enough chaos. Unless you have evidence, stop.” That shouldn’t be a radical stance, but lately it feels like one.
