The G train has 50,000 more daily riders than it did in 2010—when the MTA cut service between Long Island City and Forest Hills.

@emilyassembly.bsky.social has led on this for years. I’m with her: bring it back. Read @johnsurico.bsky.social's s op-ed at @nyc.streetsblog.org.

Alex Pretti was executed by Trump’s fascist paramilitary for doing exactly what millions of union members like him do every single day: standing up in solidarity for their neighbors.

From last night’s emergency mass call with @socialists.nyc, @justicedemocrats.com and @jvp.bsky.social.

Since this post, new video has emerged making it clear: this was an execution.

New Yorkers are gathering again at 4pm today in Union Square to say enough.

Abolish ICE.
The morning after tens of thousands of Minnesotans took to the streets in the first citywide general strike in decades, Trump's fascist paramilitary has apparently shot and killed another person.

This terrorism and impunity must end.

I’m marching with thousands of New Yorkers in solidarity with the people of Minneapolis and everyone across the country standing up to Trump’s fascist ICE.

Today.
NYC Stands with Minneapolis - Abolish ICE!

Trump is terrorizing our communities, and big corporations are profiting. Workers and students across the nation are walking out in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors across the country.

Before I became mayor, I had the privilege of serving in the New York State Assembly. And on Tuesday, Feb. 3, Astoria & Long Island City can elect @DianaforQueens to continue our work.

I'm so proud to endorse Diana, a Queens mom, an immigrant organizer & a democratic socialist.
I heard there’s a job opening in Astoria. I asked the Mayor if I have a shot.

The richest Americans now hold more wealth than at any time since WWII—the top 1% nearly as much as the bottom 90% combined.

This inequality didn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of decades of war on organized labor. Only organizing can reverse it.

The Gov's budget would mean New Yorkers making $1 million+ are actually getting $12 billion in tax *cuts* because of Trump's "big beautiful bill."

By recapturing this giveaway to the richest, we can sustainably pay for new social investments and more.

Teachers at Growing Up Green Charter School in Long Island City organized with @uft.org. Then negotiations started to drag into "endless, Kafka-esque Zoom calls."

Last month, the bosses unilaterally (and possibly illegally) decertified the union.

Completely unacceptable.

"When the full weight of the state comes down hard on you, showing up matters."

A profound honor to be introduced by Mahmoud Khalil at our launch last weekend.

A week before @nynurses.bsky.social went on strike, Mt. Sinai changed the locks to the union's on-site offices.

Executives at the richest hospitals are attacking the very healthcare workers who make their facilities run.

Meanwhile, Congress just voted to send another $3+ billion in military aid to Israel.

Against the views of the vast majority of our party, too many Democrats joined Republicans in continuing to fund a genocide.

The Trump administration's continued attempt to jail and deport him for speaking out against the Israeli genocide is abhorrent and unconstitutional.

For too long, bosses and oligarchs have made billions by keeping workers under their boots.

This campaign is about saying no more.

Workers deserve it all.
January 14, 2026 at 9:04 PM
Justice Democrats have shown what’s possible when we fight alongside working people and raise expectations about what politics can be.

I’m proud to have their support as we build a movement to take on the oligarchs and win real power for the working class.
Excited to announce our newest endorsement: @claireforqueens.bsky.social in #NY07!

Workers deserve it all & #NY07 deserves Claire—who'll bring the whole might of organized labor power to Congress.

Let's ensure this seat is a tool for workers to take their power back from the billionaire class.

Today I attended @GovKathyHochul's State of the State alongside some of my fellow socialists in office. Exciting progress on childcare, transit, housing and protecting New Yorkers from ICE — but lots of work ahead to make it a reality. Stay in the fight. And tax the rich.

I strongly support @sanders.senate.gov’s call to pause construction of new AI data centers until stronger regulations are in place. Technology must work for working people, not just oligarchs.

On my way to Albany this morning, I joined the picket line at Montefiore in solidarity with 15,000+ @nynurses.bsky.social across NYC fighting for a fair contract.

Greedy hospital management forced this strike. I stand with the nurses.
