Well deserved. So pleased he’s done it. Just hope it’s not the high point of the series.

Whether schools are/should be the places to take on all this responsibility and how much cuts to other services have impacted and what should be done to improve health and social care for children which would help schools to focus on the education of children.

As the parent of a child with severe learning disabilities, I can’t agree with the idea of rationing EHCPs but I think that there ought to be some attempts by politicians (local & MPs) to understand how much schools are now being asked to do and with limited resources (money but also trained staff)

The work you are doing on highlighting the extreme injustice of the #singlejusticeprocedure is so important. Thank you.

They are being scrapped though to save money. At least in the employment tribunal anyway.

I assume she’s not saying anything ahead of the proposed bill next year when it will all be announced?

The situation is in desperate need to reform but without significant investment and changes to education, reducing EHCP eligibility will just lead to more children being out of education.

Exactly. And his stubborn refusal to listen to the experts is astounding me.

Yes me too but I was hoping it was partly due to being in opposition and therefore not having all the facts. This is him setting himself up to be worse at Justice than Grayling (and that’s quite the achievement).

Sometimes I think politicians just dream of a clean, easy fix. But this is so far from that and you have to question his judgement.

It really does feel like it. I presume this feels easier to him than actually funding the justice system but he’s clearly closed his eyes to the real life consequences.

A load of the ones near us have been completely destroyed by the weather. Groups on Facebook making plans to get more flags up. I really want to know who’s paying for all this, cost of the flags and cost of a cherry picker (or similar) to get them on the lamp posts must be costly.

Have you just been nonstop at the kettle? That’s quite the bowling performance since tea!

Please could you make another cup??

We just have rain in Sutton. Sigh.

I really hope you see them! I hope it finds a new purpose.

Have looked into it online and it appears it’s either being refurbished or owned by someone who is wealthy enough to open it when they want (mainly for private functions). Either way it’s sad. Was a lovely venue.

Wow. I just remember it opening as Ieft university. It was quite an excitement at the time as a new place. Sad that it’s gone. Sadder that nothing has replaced it.
