One day I will learn to keep my hands still for even one second when doing a talk, but it is not this day.

The first known use of singular “they” is so old that not only does it pre-date singular “you,” it wasn’t even spelled with a “th”

When William and the Werewolf, in 1375 CE, used singular “they,” it was spelled with a Thorn

For a few years I have been on the emergency Refugees at Home hosting list and my current guest is a Palestinian refugee and incredible baker (who is very generous with his baking) ❤️

Today in our @polarsteps.bsky.social all-hands we celebrated our fantastic hiring team because we hired seven people just this month. For a team that was less than 15 for a long time, this is wonderful to see - welcoming so many new team members so we can deliver some huge things next year ... (1)
