I’ve not known a purer love
Than my dog has for me
I return it best I can
We snuggle while he sleeps
To new folks he makes it plain
He wants to keep me safe
Though he weighs just fifteen pounds
His fervor does amaze.

Moving day
It’s moving day
She’s leaving home for good
I never knew
How it would feel
But I know that she should
She was the first
Of all my babes
So many years ago
Now she has spread
Her wings so well
It’s time for her new home
