Here in Anchorage it has been hovering around zero F for all of December. Unusual for a cold snap to last so long. I don't like it. To make it feel less severe I think, could be in Fairbanks where it has been high temperatures of 30 below during December. ;

There was a good episode of Organized Money [podcast about anti-trust issues mostly] not too long ago about how the Costco experience is being ruined by private equity company vendors. They ought to get a handle on that.

A co-worker a few decades ago told me in many places in Europe products were not advertised. Word of mouth to find out about them. If you saw an advertisement for anything, could assume it was a piece of junk and the makers were desperate.

My ex-gf and I had a toy poodle for the dog's last five years. He died in 2020 aged 18. He was a firecracker! One time we agreed it was good he couldn't talk. It might have been a series of grievances! What happened to my human family and who in hell are you people!!

I don't think it is unique in any way. A lot of people go through it. In my case, it took a close friend challenging my beliefs and assumptions and offering a differing perspective. And me being open-minded to realize she was much more correct.
