Less than 3% of world economy. They seem to punch well above their weight.

I wish someone would tell Nick Ferrari that
February 15, 2026 at 2:40 PM
He is travelling so fast that, unless you happened to be on the bus , no one will hear what he has to say in any detail. Maybe that's the point as long as he keeps moving he doesn't really need to explain himself
February 15, 2026 at 1:28 PM
There is a podcast in that

He will probably lunch with Dominic now he has time on his hands. They can bond whilst discussing why their genius was never truly recognised whilst ignoring the elephant sat in the corner

Always looking for a Svengali and always managing blunders by said Svengali. Starmer would be much better off talking to Larry the cat
February 8, 2026 at 3:40 PM
Events dear boy. Ding dong the witch has gone
February 8, 2026 at 3:10 PM
Had to check my news feed then. Wow that is good news
February 8, 2026 at 3:00 PM
Yes very true. We can't be sure the information was available regarding the emails but it should have been and very true that his history alone should have been a red flag. I would love to know who was lobbying for the appointment in Starmer's circle .
February 8, 2026 at 2:58 PM
Yes in 2008 whilst in a very different role . It is being investigated and I hope he is punished for it to the full extent of the law. Had that information been available at the time of his appointment as ambassador I am sure things would be very different
February 8, 2026 at 2:22 PM
That makes perfect sense. I have to wonder if there has really been any professional incompetence . It is just that his private life has become incompatible with his role and status.
February 8, 2026 at 2:10 PM
Then not so fishy after all just due diligence and as such the idea that the PM should have withheld payment as some sort of extra judicial punishment is for the birds
February 8, 2026 at 1:53 PM
I agree it's a bad look, but it is all extremely murky
February 8, 2026 at 1:47 PM
We know that Glasman warned McSweeny against the Mandelson appointment. Did McSweeny pass on those objections. Ignore them or was he pushed by someone else. It's all very murky. Besides that, getting rid of McSweeny couldn't do any harm.

Hush money?
February 8, 2026 at 1:28 PM
The Labour Party has more manoeuvres going on than Salisbury Plain
February 7, 2026 at 1:04 PM
Yes agree, but it's almost like they want the facade of democracy by simply offering different flavours of the same thing
February 7, 2026 at 12:23 PM
Could be, but it is frightening that from Reform to Conservative to Labour seem to be coming from the same root at some level or at least in part
February 7, 2026 at 12:15 PM
It is frightening that if you go from McSweeny to Marice Glasman you get to Steve Bannon. It seems it is not only the right who have signed up to the Peter Thiel/ MAGA project. To whom can we turn to escape the inevitable?
February 7, 2026 at 12:01 PM
The McSweeny, Marice Glasman, Steve Bannon connection deserves more attention.
February 7, 2026 at 11:43 AM
Oh so McSweeny mates are ganging up. It will end in warfare on the back benches. Grim times with grim choices for the vote.
February 5, 2026 at 5:03 PM
Starmer may well concur
February 5, 2026 at 10:21 AM
Very diligent, but know that you are a better man than Farage because he has never worried about facts.
February 3, 2026 at 5:35 PM
